Show Me How To Live - Audioslave

Excellent song with very cool video adapted from great movie, Vanishing Point.
The movie is an American classic much like Easy Rider. See the original though ... as much as I like Viggo Mortensen, the original has a more transcendental quality to it.
Not quite sure what the video has to do with the song lyrics, but still seems to work for me.
PS - Probably the easiest song ever to play on the guitar.

One of their best songs. I didn't catch Viggo though or is he in a remake of Vanishing Point?

Yes, he plays Kowalski, the driver, in the remake. Jason Priestly (from 90210) plays the radio DJ, "The Voice" in the remake. The original Kowalski is Barry Newman (not much other major roles). Cleavon Little plays "Supersoul", the DJ, in the original:
"And there goes the Challenger, being chased by the blue, blue meanies on wheels. The vicious traffic squad cars are after our lone driver, the last American hero, the electric centaur, the, the demi-god, the super driver of the golden west! Two nasty Nazi cars are close behind the beautiful lone driver. The police numbers are gettin' closer, closer, closer to our soul hero, in his soul mobile, yeah baby! They about to strike. They gonna get him. Smash him. Rape...the last beautiful free soul on this planet."

Green Bald Guy should recognize most of the band ... after Zach de la Rocha left Rage Against The Machine, they joined up with Chris Cornell (lead singer of Soundgarden) and formed Audioslave.

yeah I like Audioslave's first album but after that... I just saw the original vanishing point. Why do they keep remaking the good movies? Why no redo some of the crappy ones?

My sentiments exactly ... I don't understand why a movie needs to be remade just because they get more than 20 years old; and then the director can't think of anything better to do than a complete ripoff of the original. Note to directors: "Make it your own!" What makes them think I want to see a remake of a crap movie like "Wicker Man" if they are just going to reguritate the original line for line?

LOVE THE SONG...and loved the movie! Saw it at the drive-in the first time with a smokin babe and her cousin and her b-friend. He drove like a maniac on the ride home.
We loved it!
